What a quote has to name
The clinic writes every figure on this page. What we can tell you without one is which lines a comparable quote has to carry.
Consultation
- The examination the plan needs
- Photographs taken at the clinic
- The written plan, including anything declined
- A quote naming every line separately
Procedure
- Surgeon time and the operating room
- Anaesthesia, named by type
- Implant or material, named by make where one is used
- The overnight stay, where the procedure needs one
- Dressings, garments and medication
Aftercare
- The follow-up schedule and who you see at each one
- Wound care and any removal appointment
- A remote review once you are home
- What happens if a revision is needed, in writing
Three things re-quote a case: a change to the procedure, a finding at the examination, and a change to the recovery the surgeon asks for. None of them is charged without a new quote you have read.
Questions about the quote
Is the consultation charged for?
The clinic writes that figure and whether it is credited against the procedure. It is on the quote before you attend, never after.
What is not in the quote?
Flights, accommodation and anything a third party bills you for directly. If we arrange something on your behalf, it is a named line.
Can I take the quote away and compare it?
Yes, and we would rather you did. It is written to be read beside another clinic's, line for line.
What happens if the plan changes on the day?
The procedure stops and you are re-quoted. A surgeon here does not extend a plan you have not read.
